1. Scope
Pulse Focus is a personal macOS wellness companion. This policy applies to the Pulse Focus application and this website. It does not apply to third-party services, including Oura, that have their own privacy policies.
2. Information we process
With your authorization, Pulse Focus processes supported data returned by the Oura API, which may include heart-rate samples, daily activity classifications, daily stress totals, sleep context, and readiness context. The app also processes local operational state, such as whether your Mac is active, idle, locked, or asleep. It does not record keystrokes, mouse coordinates, window titles, application usage, screen contents, or calendar data.
3. How information is used
Pulse Focus uses this information only to show local wellness status, calculate optional personal signal assessments, present optional notifications, and provide a local debug history. It does not use information for advertising, sale, profiling for third parties, or training artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
4. Storage and sharing
OAuth credentials are stored in Apple Keychain. App observations, preferences, and decision records are stored locally on your Mac. Pulse Focus does not operate a backend service and does not send your health data to a service other than the authorized Oura API requests required for the app to function.
5. Retention and deletion
Pulse Focus retains local observations and decision records for up to 90 days, then removes them automatically. You can select Disconnect and Delete Data in the application to remove stored Oura credentials and local Oura data. If Oura authorization is revoked or becomes invalid, Pulse Focus removes local Oura data when it next detects the revocation. 6. Your choices
You may decline or revoke Oura authorization at any time. Revoking authorization stops future Oura API access. You may also disable macOS notifications through system settings.
7. Security
Pulse Focus uses the security protections provided by macOS, including Keychain for OAuth credentials and the app container for local records. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; use the app only on a device you control and protect.
8. Changes and contact
